Great River Road State Park

Mississippi state parks abound with beauty, nature and history, and the Great River Road state park is one of the jewels set in Mississippi's landscape. Nestled in the Mississippi River levee and outlined by the mighty Mississippi River's western edge, the Great River Road State Park has unmatched natural views. A 75-foot tall overlook tower is the pride of the park, not only providing a memorable picnic spot, but also magnificent views of the Mississippi River. The park derives its name from a scenic parkway that follows the Mississippi River at the beginning of a small Canadian creek to the Gulf of Mexico.
