Hugh White State Park

Hugh White State Park sits on the shores of Grenada Lake, just a few miles from Grenada, Mississippi. It is a prime location for all kinds of outdoor recreation, with exciting and relaxing activities available for the entire family.
Fishing and fun
Grenada Lake covers over 64,000 acres, providing plenty of room for fishermen and boaters. It is known as a hot spot for crappies and also features bream, bass and catfish. Serious anglers know the stretch right below Grenada Lake Dam is particularly fruitful. For non-fishermen there is still plenty to do at Hugh White State Park. 158 developed campsites with water, electricity, grills and picnic tables are available for use, plus a few undeveloped sites that offer a chance to rough it within a park setting. For more comfort, there are 24 air-conditioned vacation cabin units available for rental. The park also features the Dogwoods Golf Course, a visitors center with many activities and several playgrounds scattered throughout the grounds.

There are many other attractions in the area. Holly Springs National Forest is just a short drive away, along with the Corps of Engineers Visitor Center, the Malmaison and Calhoun Wildlife Management Areas and Cottonlandia Cotton Museum in Greenwood. As a result, rainy or cold weather do not spoil the fun for visitors to the area.
Getting there
Hugh White State Park is conveniently located in North Central Mississippi, just off Interstate 55 between Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi. The park is open year-round and a daily per-car fee is charged for admission.
