John Kyle State Park

Offering an exceptional variety of recreational opportunities, John Kyle State Park is located on the Sardis Reservoir in northwestern Mississippi. The park features a mix of developed amenities and undeveloped recreational areas, ensuring enjoyment for all visitors. The park also hosts a number of special events throughout the year.

Camping and accommodations

A number of camping facilities are available throughout the park. Two hundred developed campsites with picnic tables, grills, water and electricity, bathing facilities, laundry rooms and sewage disposal are available by reservation. Twenty four-person cabins with air conditioning, furnished kitchens, linens and fireplaces are also available. Larger groups may reserve space in one of two air-conditioned dormitories. The dormitories share a dining hall and do not include linen service or other personal amenities. The park's visitor's center also hosts groups in its ballroom and meeting room by reservation only.

Golf

Mallard Pointe Golf Course is located entirely within the park. The park's rolling hills provide challenging elevation changes on this beautiful, championship-level eighteen-hole course. The golf course also features a driving range and a clubhouse with pro shop.

Fishing and boating

Fishing and boating enthusiasts are encouraged to enjoy Sardis Reservoir's 58,500 acres of fresh water. Visitors may bring their own boats, and user ramps are provided by the US Army Corps of Engineers for a fee. The reservoir is home to a great variety of game fish, including crappie, bass, catfish and bream. Visitors must have a Mississippi state fishing license, which is available at the park office.
