JP Coleman State Park

Grab the family and travel to JP Coleman State Park located in Mississippi. Overlooking the Tennessee River, this park is great for all kinds of water sports. Go camping and explore the wildlife beside the beautiful river, enjoy staying in one of the cabins or camp at one of the sites on or off the river. There are also motels if you do not want to rough it.
Tennessee River
There is a fuel dock onsite, so bring the boat and spend a day or two enjoying the Tennessee River. Pack a picnic for lunch and go fishing for smallmouth bass. Jet skiing and water skiing are both allowed in the river, so bring a water craft and have fun. Grab a canoe and go gliding along the river or take the kids swimming in the Tennessee River at JP Coleman Park and build memories with them. If you have time, then visit the beautiful waterfall that is only accessible by water travel.
Activities and amenities
Within the park there are several recreational activities as well as amenities. JP Coleman State Park has something for everyone including miniature golf and sightseeing, or take a bike or walk the trails of the park. There are picnic shelters to block the sun when eating, as well as meeting areas. A bath house, shower and laundry facility are available right on site. Pets are not allowed in the cabins or any of the park buildings; however sit by a fire ring with your favorite furry friend or walk him around the park on a six foot leash in the campground areas.
JP Coleman State Park is a great place to play in the water. Located along the Tennessee River, this park has several places to stay either in cabins, at a campsite or in a motel. With all the amenities and activities there is an activity the whole family can enjoy.
