Lefleur's Bluff State Park

LeFleur's Bluff State Park is conveniently located in Jackson, Mississippi. The park is comprised of 305-acres, including Mayes Lake and a section of the Pearl River. The park is named after 18th century trader Louis LeFleur who originally attracted settlers to the area with his trading post.

Hiking

The park lies in the heart of Jackson, so the hikes at LeFleur's Bluff are simple and short, making the park a great destination for lunch break excursions and family friendly exercise. There are currently a total of five developed trails, none of them more than a mile long round-trip.

Fishing

The park has two different bodies of water to use, making it a popular swimming, boating and fishing spot. Both the Pearl River and Mayes Lake are well-stocked with bass, bream, catfish and crappie.

Camping

Lefleur's Bluff State Park offers such a wide array of outdoor attractions that you might even consider an overnight stay. The park has over two dozen developed campsites ranging from rustic tent areas to RV parking with water and electric hook-ups. Take a short walk from your camp site to the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, which is located inside the park, or try something new by playing at one of two nine-hole disc golf courses also located inside the park.
