Tombigbee State Park

Day use amenities
Whether you are looking for a shady walk through the woods, a sunny afternoon on a lake or a romantic sunset picnic, Tombigbee State Park has everything you seek and more. The day use area is nicely equipped with picnic tables and grills, plus two large pavilions for group use by reservation. A playground is centrally located in this area, as well as basketball and sand volleyball courts. Tree Trunk Nature Trail is a comfortable 1.2 mile hike through forest and long Lake Lee, and the visitor’s center houses the park office and a meeting and banquet room.
Camping
The campground comprises a loop of 20 paved sites that can accommodate either tent or RV camping. A bath house with hot showers and laundry facilities is centrally located for convenience, and all sites are equipped with electricity and water hook-ups. Primitive camping sites are also available, nestled in a wooded area and dotted with picnic tables and barbecue grills. If tents are not your style, then vacation cabins with beds and bed linens, fully equipped kitchens and screened porches are available for rent.
Other attractions
Lake Lee is a haven for fishing enthusiasts, with a thriving population of bass, bream and catfish. A Mississippi fishing license is required, available for purchase at the park office for a nominal fee. Tombigbee also has two disc golf courses. These 18-hole, par-three courses are open to the public and free of charge, although the entrance fee to the park itself is still required.
Local events
Nearby Tupelo hosts an annual Disc Golf Tournament as well as a variety of arts and film festivals. Other area attractions include the Tupelo Civil War Battlefield, Elvis Presley State Lake and Birthplace, the Healthworks Kids Museum and the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitors Center.
